2020 Estate Rose of Pinot Noir

Our 2020 Estate Rosé of Pinot Noir is bursting with tasting notes of baked strawberry, stone fruit, and orange zest. We made this rosé from our 777 Pinot located in our "block 5", a site that is slower to ripen than our other blocks, allowing for naturally higher acid levels and slightly lower alcohol percentage than our traditional Pinot Noir, without any funny business in the winery. Picked at 21.4 Brix, these grapes went through the crusher/destemmer right at harvest time, and the juice spent only 4 hours on the skins before pressing. Considering the relatively short time on the skins, we were pleasantly surprised by the depth of color that was extracted. Hooray for anthocyanins and happy grapes!
